	Hoffa Mystery Solved In 2004 author Charles Brandt wrote the book "I Heard You Paint Houses" detailing the murder of Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa. The book was a confession by Frank Sheeran, a Teamsters official and friend of Hoffa's. Sheeran was a prime FBI suspect from the day Hoffa disappeared. The book was the first in history to give the most accurate account of Hoffa's last ride and the location of his murder at a northwest Detroit home. Mr. Brandt solved one of the biggest mysteries of the past 30 years and the information he provided in the book gained international recognition. The question who killed Hoffa, where, and how were answered but the question everyone always asked was not. Where is Jimmy Hoffa's body? That's where Jeff Hansen comes into the story. Jeff, a Taylor Police Officer who grew up a mile away from the location of the Hoffa murder, read Brandt's book. When a revised edition of the book came out, it was revealed that a funeral home might have been involved in helping dispose of the body by way of cremation. Jeff immediately thought of the Grand Lawn Cemetery, which happens to be 2 minutes from the murder location and equipped with cremation ovens. Jeff shared his theory with Detroit Newspaper reporter Dave Ashenfelter and the FBI. That was in August of 2005. In May of 2006, instead of looking at the evidence that Charles Brandt's book presented the FBI also ignored Jeff's theory. Instead, they dug up a horse farm in Milford on the word of a convicted marijuana smuggler. In a way it was good that the FBI decided to dig for nothing because it got Jeff's attention which had him email Dave Ashenfelter once more in the hope that he would put Jeff in contact with Charles Brandt. In early June, Jeff was contacted by Charles Brandt, who was told the theory of the Grand Lawn Cemetery. After several months of correspondence Charles Brandt flew to Detroit and met with Jeff and the two began to look into the cremation and cemetery business in the Detroit area, especially in 1975. The former director of the Grand Lawn Cemetery was located and originally confirmed that bodies were being cremated like clockwork at Grand Lawn, in 1975. That no one ever looked inside the boxes that were dropped off to confirm if a man or woman were in the box. However, a week later, during a follow-up interview he recanted after it was brought to his attention that Jeff was a police officer. Mr. Brandt was interviewed in November of 2006 by KLAS TV Las Vegas. The station aired a three-part story on the new findings. Read the Detroit Free Press Article dated 7/01/07 by Detroit Free Press writer Joel Thurtell. A very good synopsis, but with a few misquotes and omissions. However Joel could only write an article to fit his papers needs, there was a lot more to the story that had to be taken out for editorial purposes. Joel failed to mention that Charles Brandt flew to Detroit twice to meet with Jeff Hansen, and that he supports Jeff's theory and does not believe it to be conjecture. On December 9th 2007 the E! Channel debuted the 20 Most Shocking Unsolved Crimes. The disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa was number four. The house at Beaverland and Curtis streets where Frank Sheeran allegedly killed Hoffa was highlighted along with its proximity to the Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit. Charles Brandt was interviewed and shared that information. An important part that was left out of the article, which is a mystery onto itself is the fact that the only proof that the Grand Lawn Mausoleum (which houses the cremation ovens) was built in 1973 was stolen during the weeks that Charles Brandt and I were asking questions regarding this case. Be sure to look at the Grand Lawn photos below. I agree that the theory I came up with back in 2004, after I read the book was conjecture. However, after finding cremation ovens and logbooks and speaking to folks that ran the Grand Lawn Cemetery in 1975, I believe that conjecture has been thrown right out the window. There is absolutely no way to confirm that Jimmy Hoffa was put into a cremation oven. There are no logbooks that will show that. However, when you take everything together with Frank Sheeran's account and the operational capability of the Detroit Outfit, especially in 1975, you have to ask yourself, "Who in their right mind would transport such a high profile package a block longer than was necessary" Frank Sheeran said that. Read Charles Brandt's book, look at maps of the area and you will see what I'm talking about. I would also like to thank Mr. Brandt for all of his hard work and all of his help.
